We've Got Your Dog's Number

Whether your dog is young and energetic (5) , a lazy senior (1) or somewhere in between, ifence has your dog's number! We'll adjust our system to match your dog's needs to keep him or her safe in your yard.

When you call us, we'll ask you about your dog, his or her behavior and habits, and recommend the best solution for you, your family, and most importantly, your pet!

We've successfully given freedom to nearly 5,000 dogs in New Jersey since 1993. Let us help you unleash your dog this year!

Go green! No batteries!

Most collars require a change of batteries at least every 3 months and many are proprietary to the brand. ifence receiver collars are rechargeable making  ifence the most eco-friendly dog fence available! You only need to charge the collar about every 2 months and you'll always have peace of mind that your pet is safe in the yard! Also, the ifence collar blinks every five seconds to let you know it's working and will blink slowly to remind you it's time to recharge it.

Indoor System

ifence also has solutions for indoors. You can choose to keep your dog out of one or several rooms, or even away from a stairway, kitchen counter, or kitty litter box. Your dog wears the same collar inside and outside and it's easily rechargeable.

Training

ifence provides unlimited training to help your dog easily adjust to his new found freedom. We also highly recommend that you continue to walk your dog every day. Just like people, your pet likes a change of scenery and they look forward to a couple of walks a day. They don't have to be long walks; even a quick trip around the block is beneficial to your dog's stability and well-being. A walk before feeding and you'll see how satisfied your dog is to later just run around the yard!

Training Tips

After we installs your dog fence, there is about a two-week training period for you and your dog. We'll review each step to successful training. If you have any questions during your training sessions, please contact us at 201-445-3962.

How the ifence Pet Fence Works

The boundary loop is installed underground, about 3 to 4 inches around your yard and works similar to an elastic band. It can be customized to fit your needs in several configurations.

Our "loop" illustration demonstrates how the basic "fence" loop works.

The transmitter is installed usually in the garage or basement. Two wires are twisted together to cancel the radio signal, and buried until they reach the determined yard boundary. The wires are then separated to form the underground loop around your house. The basic loop provides freedom for your dog around the entire perimeter of your yard.

Your dog wears a small receiver collar that emits a radio signal from the transmitter. If your dog gets too close to the boundary he will feel a mild stimulation, similar to how we feel a static shock. After  a few consistent training sessions for about a week or so, your dog will understand where he can and cannot go.

Other boundary configurations include an "hourglass" loop which gives your dog freedom to run in the backyard – from the back door, and the front yard – from the front door, but not all around the house. A loop can also be configured to allow your dog freedom in just one part of the yard. Other loops can be formed to keep your dog out of the garden, pool or away from the kids' trampoline.
